About Atelier Gabuu

I have always loved shoes. But it wasn't until I discovered how they were actually made that something shifted, a curiosity that quickly turned into a need to understand how the finest shoes in the world are made, pair by pair, by hand.

That curiosity got the better of me. I had to make one myself. It started small, tools and leather ordered online, a makeshift workbench squeezed into my apartment in Copenhagen. Before long, I'd invested in proper machinery and moved into a shared workshop, and from there, shoemaking became a daily pursuit. I read everything I could find, made pair after pair, and improved with each one, but I knew I hadn't yet reached the level I was chasing. So I went to Italy to complete my apprenticeship, learning from those who had spent lifetimes perfecting.

When I returned to Copenhagen, I founded Atelier Gabuu, a small workshop dedicated to leather shoes of the highest quality, alongside a select range of leather goods, all made by hand.

Today, Gabuu is for clients who understand that true luxury isn't found in logos or trends. It's in the feeling of wearing something made exclusively for you by someone who cares about what leaves his hands.
